Application of 5-Layer Stretch Film Manufacturing Machine in the High-Speed Packaging Industry

In high-speed packaging lines, film performance must remain stable under extreme operating conditions. When line speeds reach 200–250 m/min, conventional films often show defects such as edge curling, unstable cling, and film breakage. These issues affect production continuity and reduce packaging efficiency.

A 5-layer stretch film manufacturing machine is designed to address these challenges through advanced co-extrusion technology. It produces film with a symmetrical A-B-C-B-A structure, where each layer has a specific function. This structure improves film stability and ensures consistent performance during high-speed operation.

The symmetrical layer design plays a key role in maintaining layflat stability. It reduces internal stress imbalance during stretching and prevents edge curling when the film passes through the pre-stretch system. This allows smooth and stable film transport in automated palletizing lines.

The core layer (C layer) is engineered to provide mechanical strength. It is typically modified with high-performance materials to improve puncture resistance and durability. This enables the film to withstand contact with sharp edges and uneven surfaces during fast-moving packaging processes.

The intermediate layers (B layers) act as transition zones. They help distribute stress evenly across the film structure, improving tear resistance and overall flexibility. This contributes to stable elongation behavior under high-speed tension.

The outer layers (A layers) are optimized for surface performance. They provide a controlled balance between cling and slip. This ensures that the film adheres effectively to the load while allowing smooth layering without blocking or sticking issues.

The 5-layer structure also enables precise thickness control. Films in the range of 0.01–0.05 mm can be produced with uniform gauge distribution. This consistency ensures stable force application during wrapping and improves compatibility with automated equipment.

In high-speed packaging environments, the 5-layer stretch film manufacturing machine supports continuous and stable operation. It reduces the risk of film defects, improves wrapping consistency, and enhances overall line efficiency.

By combining advanced material design with precise extrusion control, this system provides a reliable solution for demanding packaging applications where speed, stability, and film performance are critical.
